Während interact findet die dazugehörige Gesprächsreihe «On Becoming Bodies of Water» statt.

ENGLISH
In the module interact we will concern ourselves with the following questions and perspectives: With what kind of conception of ourselves do we as process designers formulate communication and collaboration? How does this influence our ideas and results? What are the conscious and unconscious patterns which we follow? For instance, who has which role in a process, and how do responsibilities derive from this within a team? How do thematic connections ensue, and what are the narratives they follow? A narration, a dramaturgy helps connecting the dots in a design process. How does this meshwork evolve? Whom does it reach, and to whom does it remain incomprehensible – and why?
In recognizing, naming, and designing ways of relating lies the potential for fundamental social transformation. Through deconstructing norms of social cohabitation and collaboration we create open spaces for change. What is changing in our views, in our behaviors, in our ways of conceiving of ourselves as designers if we perceive ourselves as Bodies of Water– as is proposed e.g. by cultural and gender theorist Astrida Neimani.
Archipelagian thinking, as it has been formulated by the poet, philosopher and writer Édouard Glissant, does not have a center. Rather, it is a network of relations where circular thinking is practiced. In this, it is searching, challenging, and ambivalent. It is becoming. It goes with the current as well as against it and creates an experiential space, metaphors, and a language for dealing with different occurrences. Constellations of islands are correlated to each other despite and because of their difference. They are surrounded by common waters. Now – do we imagine ourselves as islands or as waters, or both? And how does this idea influence our access to the world?
In the module interact we are looking forward to workshops on «Founding a HyperWerk online radio station» by RadioEE, on «Prototyping Tools for Collective Transformation» by Prem Krishnamurthy and Emily Smith, and on «Zines – methods of self pubilishing» by HyperWerk students Delia, Debi and Val.
During interact, the corresponding series of talks «On Becoming Bodies of Water» will take place. The online conversations are open to HyperWerkers and everyone else who is interested.
